Best Sizes for SEG Fabric & Frames

Recommended sizes for maximum printing efficiency

Standard Sizes for Fabric Prints

BEST SIZES FOR SEG FABRIC

Yield, in printing terms, is the amount of printable space able to be used on a roll of material. The rest is wasted. To maximize yield prints of all different sizes are nested together to fill as much of the roll as possible. Some sizes nest together better than others. Non-lit and Backlit Silicone Edge Graphics (SEG) prints for soft signage displays can be a very economic way to produce large impactful graphics in retail environments. By taking into account the size of the print, the print media, and how it will nest can result in savings and reduced waste.

Good Yield:

Sizes that completely fill the width of a roll of material, or are evenly divisible by the size of the roll are best. These size are able to be printed next to each other without wasting any space.

Poor Yield:

Print sizes that do not fit well next to each other end up wasting material. A few inches can keep images from printing side by side. They then have to be stacked. If there happens to be other odd size print jobs that will fit in this area our print masters will utilize the space.

Best Sizes for Fabric Printing Good and Bad Example

Cost Effective

Choosing from the standard sizes offered is not only a wise use of fabric material, but is an effective use of marketing dollars. These sizes allow for maximum print space for the material cost.

Reduces Waste

By producing sizes that fit well together on the rolls of fabric material waste is reduced. Our goals is to reduce the amount of unprinted area that is trimmed off and discarded that won’t fit in the frame.

Quick Turnaround

These sizes allow for the maximum amount of options for scheduling print space. The more efficient the size, the faster the turn around time to produce the graphic.
