Silicone edge graphics (SEG) lightboxes are transforming the way businesses present their graphic displays. Unlike traditional frames, SEG fabric lightboxes use a thin silicone strip sewn around the fabric graphic’s edge, which fits into a recessed groove in the aluminum frame. This design not only creates a seamless and taut display but also stands out in a crowded environment. You can find SEG backlit displays in various settings such as retail stores, trade shows, airports, and even corporate environments, where captivating visuals are essential.

Step-by-Step SEG Lightbox Assembly Instructions

1. Insert the corner connector hardware into the frame channels.

2. Pull the corners together.

3. Tighten corner connecter hardware with the provided allen keys.

4. Attach the light bar power cords together.

5. Flip the lightbox over. Starting with the corners, install the backer fabric by inserting the silicone beading into the channels. Once all four corners are installed, start at the middle of each frame extrusion, tucking the silicone beading into the channel and working toward the corners.

6. Do not install the silicone beading into the channel with the beading showing. The fabric should wrap around the silicone strip.

7. Feed the power supply cord through the hole in the frame extrusion or backer fabric (if applicable) and connect the male and female ends.

8. Flip the lightbox over and install the graphic, inserting the silicone beading into the channel starting with the corners, then the middle of each extrusion, working you way toward the corners. Power on the lightbox and you’re ready to go!

Diverse Applications of SEG Lightboxes

SEG lightboxes come in various forms to meet different display needs:

  • Wall-Mounted: These are perfect for saving floor space while providing high-impact visuals. They are commonly used in retail environments to highlight promotional content or in corporate settings to display brand messages.
  • Freestanding: Ideal for trade shows and events, these lightboxes can be placed anywhere, creating attention-grabbing displays that get noticed. They are also great for areas where wall space is limited.
  • Ceiling-Suspended: These lightboxes are perfect for making a statement in large spaces such as airport terminals and shopping malls. Suspended from the ceiling, they offer visibility from a distance, ensuring that your message is seen by everyone.

The Benefits of SEG Lightboxes

SEG lightboxes offer numerous benefits, making them a popular choice for businesses. They provide vibrant, high-resolution graphics thanks to their backlit SEG graphics, which ensure even illumination and striking visuals. The fabric graphics used in SEG light boxes are easily interchangeable, allowing for quick updates to your display without the need for professional installation. Additionally, fabric SEG lightboxes are lightweight and durable, making them easy to transport and install.

SEG lightboxes offer a versatile solution for displaying graphics in various settings. Whether you choose wall-mounted, freestanding, or ceiling-suspended options, SEG lightboxes deliver exceptional quality and ease of use. While the initial cost may be higher than some non-lit applications, the impressive benefits make these backlit displays a superior choice for any business looking to improve its visual communications.
