What You Need to Know
The first official One Piece Mugiwara Store in the United States opens on November 6, 2026 at Westfield Century City in Los Angeles. Toei Animation and Sony Group are behind the launch. You’ll find the shop on the second floor of the mall at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd. Japan has had Mugiwara Stores for years, and fans traveling there often make a point of stopping in. Now you don’t need a plane ticket. In case you’re wondering, Mugiwara means “straw hat” in Japanese.
Plan ahead if you want to go during opening week. From November 6 to 12, the store only lets in guests with advance reservations, which you can book through the official store website. After that, the store opens to everyone, but walk in entry depends on capacity and isn’t guaranteed. Inside, you’ll find merch you can’t buy anywhere else, including shirts, hoodies, stickers, figures and items featuring original animation artwork. There’s also Surfer Chopper, an LA exclusive version of Tony Tony Chopper who talks to you while you shop. Early visitors can grab a limited commemorative shopping bag while supplies last.
