What You Need to Know
Skywalker Grill opened on top of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Exposition Park, with the concept drawing on the hospitality of George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch. It serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, and it stays open after the galleries close. The menu sticks to American classics made with California ingredients, including Dungeness crab cakes, lobster corn dogs, crispy chicken Milanese, honey miso glazed salmon and the Skywalker Ranch Wagyu Burger. Rockwell Group’s Los Angeles office designed the space with a mix of contemporary and Midcentury Modern influences. Cherry wood panels wrap the walls and ceiling, and each one was crafted individually. Glowing white onyx Corian surfaces bring light into the room. A sculptural bar sits at the center with small seating areas around it. You’ll also find a private dining room with switch glass walls that go from clear to frosted, plus an outdoor terrace set among landscaping with wide views of Los Angeles.
