What You Need to Know

Abercrombie & Fitch opened a new store at 520 Broadway in SoHo on June 5, spanning three floors and introducing the brand’s first “Heritage Meets Modern” design concept. The store blends archival storytelling with modern retail, with curated displays throughout the entrance and stairway featuring pieces like a 1911 Saranac cord suit and a rare Rainbow Pond jacket made exclusively for the brand by Willis & Geiger in the late 1960s. Heritage-inspired furnishings, custom millwork, mosaic tiling and fitting rooms with customizable lighting run throughout the space, and the second floor includes a dedicated activation area inspired by a classic New York hotel bar.

The store also debuts Abercrombie’s first-ever accessories section, carrying footwear, sunglasses and bags alongside its signature denim and Office Approved collections. Exclusive New York City and USA merchandise is available only at select locations. The opening weekend featured custom embroidery onsite from local SoHo creative studio Abbode. Later this month, Hollister will open at 547 Broadway in the former Abercrombie SoHo location, giving the retailer two stores in the same neighborhood.
