What You Need to Know

Amazon Pharmacy is placing kiosks inside One Medical offices so you can pick up prescriptions immediately after your visit. Each year many prescriptions go unfilled and many chronic medicines are not taken as prescribed, which delays treatment and raises costs. Starting December 2025, kiosks will roll out across One Medical locations in the greater Los Angeles area, letting your provider send prescriptions directly to Amazon Pharmacy so you can check out in the Amazon app and get your medication before you leave the office.

The kiosks hold a curated inventory based on each office’s prescribing patterns. You’ll scan a QR code at the kiosk to pick up medications that an Amazon pharmacist has reviewed, and you can talk with that pharmacist by video or phone if you have questions. The app shows upfront costs, applies available coupons, and estimates insurance copays. Amazon also offers RxPass, a $5 monthly option for common generic drugs, and reports it has saved customers more than $100 million on prescriptions. These kiosks aim to close the gap between diagnosis and treatment and improve access in areas with limited pharmacy options.
