What You Need to Know
David’s Bridal is now shoppable through ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. The bridal retailer joined Shopify’s Agentic Storefronts for ChatGPT and integrated its product assortment into Microsoft Copilot, making it one of the first retailers to bring wedding shopping into AI chat platforms. ChatGPT users can browse gowns by silhouette while Copilot users can view collections and filter by size and color. Through the Shopify integration, David’s Bridal can also track how customers search and which AI platforms drive sales.
The move is part of the company’s “Aisle to Algorithm” strategy to become a digital-first retailer. David’s Bridal is auditing its entire product assortment to tag details like neckline, fabric, train length and size range so products show up accurately across AI shopping experiences. The retailer also launched an AI wedding planning tool called Pearl Planner last year and has made several executive hires to support its tech push. Other major retailers like Walmart and Sephora are making similar moves as AI platforms like ChatGPT become a new channel for product discovery and purchasing.
