Step inside the Haworth Brand Gallery, and you step into more than 75 years of design history. Haworth began in 1948 when G.W. Haworth turned his garage woodworking shop into a full-time business. From those roots, through innovation and design, Haworth grew into a global leader in commercial office furniture, residential furniture, hospitality and retail furniture, transportation and more. The Brand Gallery at their headquarters in Holland, MI was designed and carried through by Haworth and brings this history to life with an immersive look at the past, present and future of design.

Area A: Haworth Group
The Haworth Brand Gallery is divided into five areas that showcase the company’s design eras. Your journey through the gallery begins with the Haworth Group, a collection of globally recognized brands working across industries such as commercial, residential, cultural, hospitality, transportation and accessories. Whether you’re furnishing corporate offices, luxury resorts or even Ferrari interiors, the Haworth Group shows how interior design styles adapt across every type of space. Their mission is clear: design at the intersection of people and environment, creating spaces that people want to experience.
Area B: Haworth Pillars
Three guiding pillars: entrepreneurial, design forward and multicultural shape Haworth’s identity. Exhibits display artifacts like original shoe and tie racks, the original pre-wired office panel invented by Dick Haworth in the 1970s, prototypes of early adjustable tables and more workplace innovations, all reminders that Haworth has always pushed workplace design forward. The story starts in a garage and grows into a company defined by innovation, showing how deep values influence and inspire interior designers today.

Area C: Center Podium Exhibit
Down the middle of the gallery sits the Center Podium Exhibit. Here you’ll see iconic pieces such as the Zig Zag Chair and Hill House 1 chair by Cassina, the Sacco bean bag chair (the original bean bag chair) by Zanotta, the Galaxy lamp by Cassina, the Tube Chair from Cappellini and more. These are milestones of the company’s craftsmanship and cultural impact. Each piece connects the story of design to how people live and work and makes them essential references for anyone studying or practicing interior design.
Area D: Discover Tomorrow Experience
At the back of the gallery, the Discover Tomorrow Experience immerses you in Haworth’s forward-looking vision. Projected on the walls of the box are interviews with Franco Bianchi, Dick Haworth, Matthew Haworth and Patricia Urquiola, revealing leadership insights and perspectives on the future of work. For interior designers, this experience highlights how commercial office furniture and interior design styles evolve to meet the needs of tomorrow’s workplaces.
Area E: Threshold
The Threshold marks both the entry and exit of the gallery, a multi-level structure with more iconic design furniture that paved the path for where Haworth Group stands today. Visitors encounter standout designs such as the Ombra Tokyo Chair by Cassina and the LC4 lounge chair, also by Cassina. These timeless pieces remind you how great design continues to influence today’s interior design trends.
