What You Need to Know

Major League Baseball has expanded its partnership with streetwear label Fear of God, rolling out a new collection under the brand’s Essentials line. The collaboration, which began in 2020, now features gear reimagined for current MLB teams such as the Yankees, Dodgers, and Cubs. The collection launched September 10 on Fear of God and Fanatics’ platforms, with wider availability coming to select retailers and stadium shops soon.

Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo, whose father is former MLB player and manager Jerry Manuel, described the line as a blend of fashion and baseball tradition. He said baseball mirrors American life by capturing both cultural values and generational change. To promote the collection, the campaign launched with a cinematic “Picture Day” video directed by filmmaker Calmatic, highlighting themes of family, community, and pride. Fashion outlets have already labeled the MLB–Fear of God partnership a major moment in merging sports and streetwear.
