What You Need to Know
Puma will introduce AI Store Concierge at its Las Vegas flagship store this spring, a multilingual assistant designed to provide shoppers with information about Puma Performance Running products and fit details. The large interactive display automatically detects the language a customer is speaking and will not track or store personal data. It can check if items are in stock at the store. VP of Direct-to-Consumer Technology Pedro Silva said the technology makes product exploration faster, more intuitive and more accessible. Puma will gather feedback and explore how to scale the technology on its direct-to-consumer channels.
The Concierge was built in collaboration with Google Cloud and LiveX.AI, a holographic AI agent company, and is powered by an Nvidia Nemotron model. It is designed to support Puma retail associates, allowing conversations with shoppers to transition seamlessly to store teams who can provide more personalized advice. The AI Concierge will support languages including English, Mandarin, Spanish, French and Arabic. Puma opened its 25,000 square foot Las Vegas flagship store almost a year and a half ago, featuring an F1 racing simulator, interactive arcade and customization studio.
