What You Need to Know

The Container Store and Bed Bath & Beyond opened their first co-branded retail location on May 16 at 4601 West Freeway in Fort Worth, Texas. The store combines The Container Store’s organizing products and design services with Bed Bath & Beyond home essentials like towels, bedding, small appliances and home decor. Customers can shop by room across kitchen, bath, bedroom and other categories, and the store brings back familiar Bed Bath & Beyond elements including the iconic towel wall and curated bed displays. The product mix at launch is roughly 60% Container Store, 35% Bed Bath & Beyond and 5% seasonal decor from Kirkland’s, with plans to eventually reach a 50-50 split.

The opening marks the first step in a nationwide rollout under what the company calls its “Everything Home” vision. Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., which owns both brands alongside Overstock, buybuy BABY and Kirkland’s, plans to operate more than 300 stores across multiple formats over time. In the coming months, Bed Bath & Beyond products will roll out across The Container Store’s 98 existing locations nationwide. The company also plans to add sections from Cabinets to Go and Lumber Liquidators by summer and buybuy BABY in freestanding locations next year.
