What You Need to Know

Wayfair will open a 70,000-square-foot Columbus store in late 2026. It will be the company’s first smaller-format retail location, a prototype to test a leaner footprint while keeping the Wayfair shopping experience. This follows the Wilmette, Illinois store and comes with planned openings in Atlanta, Yonkers, and Denver as Wayfair grows its physical footprint and experiments with formats that balance scale, experience, and convenience.

Inside, you’ll find a wide range of products across furniture, housewares, appliances, mattresses, and decor, plus Wayfair Verified items. Free design services will help with small updates or full room refreshes. Many items are ready to take home, while larger pieces can be delivered quickly through Wayfair’s logistics network. Columbus’s diverse population, retail history, and the presence of a major university make it a strong test bed for how a smaller store can serve the Midwest and beyond.
