In the heart of Queens, New York City, Cartier installed signage graphics at Carat & Co. to leverage a prime retail location and ensure visibility to a wide range of shoppers. For luxury brands like Cartier, creating an engaging in-store shopping experience is essential.

Studies show that luxury shoppers prefer buying in-store, where they can connect more deeply with the brand through visually impactful displays and interact with the products. To meet these needs, Cartier worked with 40 VISUALS to deliver retail store signage designed to leave a lasting impression.

Using Signage for Luxury Brand Experiences

Cartier, a globally renowned luxury brand known for its fine jewelry, watches and accessories, has a legacy dating back to 1847. Cartier is known for its high-end timeless designs and seeks to deliver retail experiences that reflect its prestigious reputation.

To create a high-end retail experience at Carat & Co., three SEG backlit fabric graphics, including two 8’ x 9’ and one measuring 5’ x 7.5’. The SEG backlit display graphics were printed on woven backlit fabric using dye-sublimation, a process that embeds color into the fabric for a durable and vibrant result. The fabric was then laser-cut, and silicone beading was sewn around the edges. This silicone beading fits into the channels of the SEG fabric lightbox, ensuring the graphic is smooth and secure while the LED lights of the lightbox draw attention to the graphic.

Recessed wall-mounted SEG fabric lightbox displays made a great use of Carat & Co’s upper balcony area.

The brand also added a 5’ x 4.5’ Invisa-View perforated vinyl window signage print. The material’s 80/20 perforation ratio, meaning 80% of the media is the vinyl graphic and 20% is holes, provided maximum visibility of the graphic while preserving the outward view from inside.

The artwork featured seasonal imagery, combining aerial and product photography in dark blue, red, and gold tones. These prints were tailored to fit Cartier’s brand aesthetic and deliver clear, vivid messaging that aligned with its luxurious identity.

Signage for Retail Environments

In high-end retail settings, signage plays an important role in capturing attention and creating a memorable shopping experience that builds value in the brand. SEG fabric graphics and SEG light boxes offer flexibility and allow for interchangeable signage, enabling brands to update visuals with minimal effort. These tools help create a modern and engaging atmosphere that aligns with luxury branding.

Cartier’s project highlights the effectiveness of well-crafted signage in retail spaces. From SEG backlit fabric graphics to vinyl window signage, 40 VISUALS delivers signage solutions tailored to your needs. Contact us today to learn how we can support your next project.
