What is SEG fabric?
SEG is short for silicone edge graphics, a type of fabric print with a thin silicone beading sewn around the edges. The silicone beading fits into a groove around the outside edge of the SEG frame to stretch the fabric completely smooth. The result is an upscale frameless appearance that brands love.

Non-lit vs. Backlit
SEG fabric displays look great in both non-lit and backlit options. Non-lit SEG fabric is printed on a fabric material with standard ink saturation. Backlit SEG fabric is printed on a heavier, more dense fabric material to allow for proper light diffusion. Frequently Asked Questions About SEG Fabric
What is SEG fabric?
SEG fabric is a printed fabric graphic with a silicone strip sewn around the edges. The strip fits into a channel in an aluminum frame to create a tight, frameless display.
How do you install silicone edge graphics?
Start at the corners and press the silicone edge into the frame’s channel. Then work your way along each side, starting from the center of each side and moving toward the corners. No tools or special installation skills are needed.
How do you remove an SEG fabric graphic?
Many SEG fabric prints have a pull tab sewn into the edge of the graphic, often in the bottom right corner. Simply pull the tab and the rest of the graphic will slide out of the frame channels. If the print doesn’t have a pull tab, simply push one of the corners out from the back side of the frame.
Can I reuse my SEG fabric frames?
Yes! You keep the frame and swap in new graphics whenever your graphics change.
How big can SEG graphics be?
We print up to 16 feet on the short side and virtually any length on the long side.
What’s the difference between backlit and non-lit SEG?
Non-lit displays (sometimes also called front-lit displays) use room lighting and slimmer frames. Backlit displays, also called lightboxes, are typically a deeper profile to account for the built-in LED lighting and proper light diffusion. The light shines through the fabric for an illuminated look.
Can I wash SEG fabric?
Yes! Dye-sublimated SEG fabric is machine washable with cool water and mild detergent and hung to dry. UV SEG fabric prints are not machine washable. What’s the difference between due-sublimation and UV printing?

We accept many different formats for print, including PDF, TIFF, EPS, AI, JPG, PNG and more. Our team will check your artwork and help with sizing before printing.
